Hayley Scammell MARLA – Director

Hayley started her career in Estate Agency in 1985 when she first met Glen Bacon and then joined him in 1990 when Bacon & Co opened their first office in Crabtree Lane, Lancing.   In 1991 Hayley introduced Lettings to the business and has worked hard developing this side of the company, proudly supported by her team of loyal staff. 2000 saw the birth of her first child and after the arrival of her daughter in 2003 she was delighted to become a Director of Bacon & Co Lettings Ltd. Hayley spends most of her spare time with the family and running a busy house but when she does get time to relax she loves to mix with friends and family and planning holidays abroad. Her in-laws reside in Spain so loves occasional trips escaping to the mountains for a change of lifestyle!

Geoff Simpson – Associate Director

Geoff worked with Bacon & Co as a Mortgage Advisor at Crabtree Lane, Lancing in 1990 and then joined full time as a sales negotiator in 1991. With a rapidly expanding letting dept he then joined Hayley as one half of the lettings team in 1992. As the letting dept grew Geoff was promoted to Manager and has now taken on the role of Accounts Manager and subsequently becoming an Associate Director in 2011. Geoff enjoys travelling abroad and going to concerts, preferably Springsteen, and is also an avid supporter of West Ham.

Vanessa Walton MARLA - Office Manager

Vanessa started with Bacon & Co in February 2003 as an office administrator in our Lancing Lettings office. She was then promoted to Senior Property Co-ordinator and towards the end of 2010 was promoted again to Lettings Manager.  Vanessa had a daughter in 2008 and decided to come back to work and has now taken back a full time role as Office Manager. In her spare time Vanessa likes to spend time with her family and socialise with friends.

Simon McWilton MARLA - Senior Lettings Co-ordinator

Simon joined the Bacon & Co Lettings team in the summer of 2007 having worked for several years in the leisure and hospitality industries. He has brought his customer service and interpersonal skills learned from his years working for a major UK airline into his role as Lettings Co-ordinator. Simon is now a member of APIP after passing his Association of Professional Inventory Providers exams. In his own time Simon enjoys taking part in a number of sport activities such as football, mountain biking and kayaking.

Monica Lower – Lettings Negotiator

Monica has been with Bacon & Co since April 2009 after starting as the oldest Saturday girl they have ever had!  and then joined the team on a full time basis a few months later.  Monica is born and bred in Lancing so knows the area very well and how it has grown over the years. In her private life Monica loves to work and spend time in her garden, she also has 4 grandchildren that keep her very busy.

Chloe Hambrook – Administrator

Chloe started her career in estate agency working for a corporate
company in Shoreham by Sea. She then joined Bacon & Co's Broadwater
branch in 2005 as a Sales Negotiator.  In an effort to broaden her
knowledge and skills, Chloe moved to work for our busy Lettings office
in 2008 as Administrator. After having her son in late 2010, she now
works part time. In her free time Chloe loves cooking, music, films
and of course spending time with her family.  She can also be found
every winter snowboarding in the Alps

Tandy Charman – Negotiator

Tandy joined Bacon and Co part time in May 2011 to be an all round helper carrying out viewings, inspections and general office duties. She worked for a bank before leaving to have her daughter and son and help her husband run his building company.  With both children now at school she is glad to be back working in an office. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.

Amy started working in property following several years as an Entertainment Manager and Host for Thomas Cook and Disney Cruise Line. Her Sales career began in 2008, when she joined a National Corporate agent in their busy Hove Office. She was promoted to Manager of their Lancing Branch in 2010, and then became Sales Manager in Goring-by-Sea in 2011. Getting married in September 2012 prompted a change of career path for Amy, and she decided to expand her knowledge of the property sector, and join us at Bacon & Co lettings as Lettings co-ordinator. In her free time Amy enjoys ‘treading the boards’ and is a founder member of local theatre company, Kompact, who perform regularly at local venues and in London.
